Happy New year one and all, I hope you all had a great holiday season and have now recovered from the seasons excess........



So lets start the year with a request.....

Over the past 6 months or so Serenity has grown, we are as a guild almost at the stage where the critical mass for running 25 mans as a regular feature could be possible, We have the tanks, we still miss some healers but most days we have a steady 15+ people online. This is a really positive thing but I will talk more about that in a minute.....

I have to admit and because of the great work the other officers do I have lost track a little of who is who..... yes I know a lot of your mains but your alts are lost to me... I find myself asking whether new people have joined etc most nights when I logon... So here is the GM request.

Please mail me In game with you main and Alts spelled out......

Why..I hear you cry...well A) So I know who is who B) So it makes admin a little easier C) because at the end of January any toon who has not logged on for 20+ days will be removed from the guild unless it is someone's alt who is still active.... I just need to have a spring clean!!

So looking forward to 2010......



I am sort of hoping that most don't walk around with there head in the sand and you all know that the 4th expansion to our much loved game will be released some time this year ( Personally I suspect summer time ). This give us some unique opportunities and something which can only be done when all are levelling especially in Azeroth/Kalimdor... low level recruitment... yes you heard it... though I haven't fully discussed this with the Officers it seems to me that now is the time to start recruiting for the future, so lets start picking those peeps up you see looking for a guild....the same rules apply and I will remove people who are a pain ( Please note this has happened over the last week to a now nameless guild initiate! ) It is important to maintain the mature cross section we currently have... and age definitely doesn't mean mature! (Just look at Morweine and Bodicea! ) I am happy to have the hooded youth ;) in the guild but I expect them to behave in a manor of maturity. Its not a lot to ask!

For new members please go and have a look at the guild rules - here they really are just an expectation of behaviour and easy to follow....

Cataclysm offers many benefits for have a larger guild with a broad cross section player level, including...Levelling, Achievements, Currency, Talents and Taxation! to name a few, for a nice overview you can go here.

Raiding and ICC

We have surpassed ourselves this time and I like to thank all who have put the effort into getting their gear up to be ready for ICC.... We are progressing nicely and the first 3 bosses are now I would say on farm. This week we will hopefully start progressing into the new wing and moving forward. My only fear currently is that there is a slight gear gap opening, I am not seeing this as an issue but what I would ask is that if you ask to step out because your gear score isn't high enough then it is not personal, its not that your unskilled or need to l2p its just that we are as a whole on level for the instance.... in time when we start to over gear the first wings you will be helped through but for now let the guys who have the time and the energy to gear well to progress a little further. In the end it will benefit the guild as a whole :)

On a sub note to those who have multiple, well geared alts..... ICC is currently for mains only!! unless and only where a main cannot fill the slot even if that person is slightly under geared...I would rather spend the evening wiping but getting someone valuable experience than spending an evening gearing an Alt! At least for now!!!!

Well what a year it has been, we have had some drama, we have lost some friends but I hope we have gained some new ones. I would like to take this oppotunity to thank the officers for all their hard work as well as thanking each and everyone of you for making Serenity a great guild to run as well as a place to have fun. So as this decade comes to a close I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Guys,

Just a quick note to confirm that the patch will drop Tuesday Reset..... Raiders wanting to go to ICC need to do the following and think about a few things.

Please read up on the Bosses - We spend so much time talking about it and not doing......
Please bring Flasks/food/buffs/brains/ears to Raid.
Please have a gear check and make sure we have optimised as best we can for 10man content.

New/Old Raiders alike.....

Please consider whether you are ready for ICC! Please ask yourself the following questions

Do I have all the gear I could possibly get from badges, Raids and Instances....
Do I have the correct Gems and Enchants on my gear? - I know there are peeps who don't I am watching now!!!
Do I feel that I can be part of the team and am willing to sacrifice Gear etc for the Team?
Am I willing to wipe lots and do I have the cash to fund it?
Do I think my behaviour will benefit the team?

Even I can't say yes to some of the above but I can say I have 'done the best I can', all I and the Officers ask is that you think through the raid you are signing up for, please do not expect to be carried in ICC or ToC for that matter. If you have got as far as you can on your own then talk to one of us and we can organise or guide you to help but first you need to help yourself!!!!

Well there's a lot of speculation as to when 3.3 will drop but it seems acording to wow.com that it will be reset next week (Dec 7th) :) So if you don't know about the changes and haven't wanted to read about it, now's the chance to be informed...... If you click on the picture above it should(tm) take you to the wow.com guide for 3.3 listing all class and game changes as well as a wealth of new features including UI changes, badge gear, LFG etc etc etc the list really does go on and on.

Don't forget to get the downloader running as the 2nd part of the patch is over 400Mb which brings the grand total for the patch to over 1.1Gb..... thats bigger than Sunwell/mount hyjal put together so it gonna be a big one.

Lets get excited about it and start thinking about reading on the first bosses in IC.

Hey guys,

Not quite sure whats happened in the last week whether we are all bedding in for the Winter or just have some down time after a busy previous week but it has been awfully quiet......................

Those of us still around lets keep looking for new recruits, I suggest level 60+ and lets try to turn out for those raids......tongiht is Ulduar so lets see if we can get through to mimiron in record time and really try to learn that fight.......1st phase seems to be going well...and 2nd is just a matter of rememberin to run in a clockwise direction...but please read up and lets try to down him tonight......

What can i say guys, just a big well done to all who have been raiding in the past week, so where does it leave us now....well I think nows the time to focus on getting end bosses on farm........and forget about the optional bosses in Ulduar. we have only 3 more bosses to down and we have Cleared Ulduar (apart from Agalon the raid killer) and then only 3 more bosses in ToC.........and then we have one left to nail.....EoE!!. Thats 6 bosses in maybe a month or so till the next patch drops and we have Ice crown and Arthas to deal with but we are getting through the content which is really nice. We just need to get them on farm which should not take too long now.......

So lets keep up the good work and get these raids clear.....
